耶稣教诲：

到王国的消息传遍世人所住的全地的时候，终结就会来到。到那时，就会有大患难，这样的患难，从世界的开头直到现在都没发生过，将来也绝不会再发生。
到时，要是有人对你们说，“看啊！基督在这里”，或者说，“在那里！”你们不要相信。因为假基督和假预言者兴起，施行大标证和奇事，如果可能，就连蒙拣选的人也想迷惑。要是有人对你们说，“看啊！他在旷野”，你们不要出去；或者说“看啊！他在内室”，你们不要相信。\
